Dr. Howell was elected Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) last year. She received her MS (2001) and PhD (2005) from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Howell is certified by the American Board of Radiology and has 15 years of clinical experience. She has published 50 peer-reviewed papers and is Principal and Coinvestigator on several funded research grants from the National Cancer Institute and other funding agencies.
