Abstract

Central nervous system (CNS) tumors represent a diverse group of neoplasms that require special consideration for benign, malignant, primary ormetastatic lesions. The CNS has a large number of critical tissues that have specific concerns that must be evaluated in any form of radiotherapy planning. Intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is an ideal formof treatment to minimize the risk of morbidity while maintaining target volume coverage.
