Abstract

• Urethral cancers are uniquely complex and heterogeneous in their presentations and approaches to management. • Histology drives important differences in the behavior and treatment of urethral cancer. • The addition of brachytherapy to definitive external beam radiation results in superior locoregional disease control. • More than a third of the patients in our study required multimodality care, highlighting the importance of inter-disciplinary collaboration and comprehensive care in complex cases.
