Abstract
Patients with systemic and neurological malignancies present with a variety of neurological symptoms that are related to the direct or indirect effects of the disease or to the treatments directed against such malignancies. This chapter reviews the most common clinical features that accompany neurological malignancies and their treatment and examines the pathophysiologic basis of such symptoms. It also reviews the relevance of such symptoms to the course of the disease and their association with outcome. In addition, the features of paraneoplastic neurological disorders are presented, with an emphasis on presentation, diagnosis, and management.
