Abstract

The interview by Dimitrios P Kontoyiannis, 'Is Candida auris here to stay? An interview with Dimitrios Kontoyiannis', which appeared in the September 2019 issue of FutureMicrobiology 14(13), 1083-1085 (2019), was published with an inaccuracy suggesting Clostridium difficile is carbapenemase resistant. The corrected sentence should read 'Its resistance nature andresilience in the hospital environment is not unlike that of carbapenemase-resistant bacteria or Clostridium difficile, in how they create infection control nightmares'. This has now been corrected. The authors and editors of FutureMicrobiology would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused our readers.
