Abstract

This article provides an overview of the practice of gynecologic oncology. The mechanisms by which the disease or treatment results In a stoma are re­viewed. The screening, detection, stag­ing, and treatment of endometrial, ovar­ian, and cervical cancer are reviewed, as well as the special rqulrements of patients undergoing exenteration.
