    Abstract

The biliary tract consists of the gallbladder (GB) and the (intra and extrahepatic) bile ducts. It is concerned with storage and transport of bile from the liver to its site of action in the duodenum. It may be affected by a wide range of disorders, from benign to malignant. Imaging is important to identify not only the pathology but also the exact site of disease.
