Abstract

Cell-based therapies are a new means of alleviating human diseases, some of which have no other potential for cure. These therapies will probably benefit greatly from cell-tracking imaging technology in their development, and also later in their eventual clinical use. Imaging cells and their behavior noninvasively will be of key interest to the researchers developing these therapies and the clinicians who will eventually use them in treating patients.
