Abstract

The goals of pelvic reconstruction in gynecologic oncology surgery are to maximize healing, minimize morbidity, and preserve function. Tissue grafts, adjacent tissue rearrangements, pedicled flaps, and free tissue transfers are often used and depend on patient selection and defect criteria. This chapter introduces these various modalities, including surgical pearls from experienced reconstructive surgeons.
