Abstract
A patient with renal cell carcinoma that was diagnosed following echocardiographic visualization of a right atrial mass is reported. Although extension of renal cell carcinoma into the right atrium is rare, it should be considered in any case of right atrial mass. This is important not only for proper diagnosis, but also because the operative approach to renal cell carcinoma is significantly altered in this situation. A further review of the literature is included in this report.
