Spleen Biopsy

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Routine biopsy of the spleen remains uncommon because of a perceived risk of increased complications; however, percutaneous image-guided splenic biopsy is safe and can be performed on an outpatient basis. This chapter reviews the indications, technique, potential complications, and results of splenic biopsy.
