Abstract

Of all gliomas, glioblastoma is the most common and most aggressive primary brain tumor in adults and invariably carries a poor prognosis despite optimized multimodality treatment underscoring the pressing need for the development of novel therapies. Large-scale genomic analyses have accelerated our understanding of this molecularly heterogeneous disorder and have provided insight into potential actionable targets for therapy. Promising targeted approaches are under active development in the treatment of glioblastoma.
