Abstract

Although adequate prospective data are lacking, radiation therapy seems to be effective for many benign diseases. This article focuses selectively on some of the more common benign conditions that may be treated with radiation. Certain benign tumors, such as pituitary adenomas and meningiomas, that are frequently discussed in major textbooks and those that are very rare are excluded.
