Abstract

Radiology nurses play a variety of roles during fluoroscopically guided interventions (FGI). There may be different considerations for radiation protection in these different roles. This article reviews key aspects of radiation protection for personnel involved in FGI, and key aspects of radiation management for ensuring patient safety during FGI, as they relate to roles played by the radiology nurse.
