title = "3D spectral element method combined with H-refinement",
abstract = "In this work, we propose a Spectral Finite Element method (SEM) for 3D acoustic wave equation modelling combined to an unstructured mesh adaptation method, the h-refinement approach. This method is well adapted to complex geometries and unstructured meshes, which is very important dealing with complex velocity models. Impulse response for modeling has been shown to validate the proposed SEM implementation. Moreover, it proved good parallelization speed up, which is critical for high performance computing purposes as required by Reverse Time Migration.",
