Abstract

A simple test tool for checking that the correspondence between the light beam and the radiation field is within 0.2 cm has been developed for field sizes of 5 × 5 cm, 10 × 10 cm, and 20 × 20 cm. It is also possible to check the alignment of the central ray of the light beam and the central ray of the radiation field using this same device with the aid of a lead shot grid placed in the accessory tray holder. This tool has proven to be useful as part of a quality assurance program involving a number of different therapy units.
