Abstract

Granzyme B released by leukocytes cleaves multiple intracellular substrates required for target cell lysis. In this issue of Immunity, Prakash etal. (2014) demonstrate that granzyme B cleaves basement membrane proteins and promotes cytotoxic Tcell diapedesis into inflamed tissue.
