Adipose tissue engineering applied to reconstructive surgery

Abstract

The potential of using primary preadipocytes as a cell source in cell-seeded polymer scaffolds for tissue engineering applications is demonstrated. Two applications are considered, namely, soft tissue augmentation and breast reconstruction.
