Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Animal models are used and developed to answer basic scientific questions, to study pharmacokinetics, to test therapeutics, and to prepare for translational work. Often, the goal is to cure a malady in our human and animal patients. Cancer therapeutics can involve chemicals, radiation, nanoparticles, antibodies, as well as a gamut of other agents. The focus of this chapter is to review the understanding of radionuclides and their use in cancer therapy and diagnostics.
