    Abstract

Some benign breast diseases have classic features of benignity that require no further management, while others have features indistinguishable from malignancy and thus require further evaluation and possible biopsy. The clinical presentation, imaging features, and management of benign breast diseases such as epidermal inclusion cysts, lipomas, hamartomas, mammary duct ectasia, cysts, intraductal papillomas, fat necrosis, surgical scars, adenomyoepithelial tumors, and gynecomastia in elderly patients are discussed.
