Abstract
Incorporating nanotechnology into cancer immunotherapy has provided numerous therapeutic approaches that can surpass conventional immunotherapy. Nanoparticles are promising delivery carriers that enable targeted delivery of cargo molecules to enhance therapeutic efficacy while preventing adverse effects. This article highlights how nanomaterials can reinforce immunotherapy-mediated antitumor immunity by combatting current immunotherapeutic challenges. We will also discuss a variety of cancer nanomedicine-assisted immunotherapies based on immunogenic cell death (ICD) induction, vaccination, and direct activation of innate and adaptive immune cells.
