Abstract

Celiac plexus block continues to be an important diagnostic and therapeutic procedure for intractable abdominal pain due to intra abdominal malignancy such as pancreatic cancer. Chemical neurolysis of this ganglion can be very beneficial especially when systemic pharmacological agents are ineffective to control pain due to advanced pancreatic cancer. Thus, practitioners should be familiar with various approaches and be able to handle all complications efficiently.
