Abstract

The problems described are the problems of a field in its youth or infancy, and is in symmetry with tremendous opportunities. Molecular imaging is destined to be the fulcrum of future clinical trials involving molecular therapies. This future is inevitable, but can it be hastened by improved insight into the complexities faced by the molecular imaging community as it strives to move these technologies forward to the clinic.
