title = "Command-wide teleradiology for U.S. armed forces in Korea",
abstract = "There are 17 U.S. military medical treatment facilities scattered in the Republic of Korea to provide health care for approximately 40,000 U.S. troops and their dependents. Only three Army and one Air Force radiologist are assigned for radiological diagnosis. In some areas, report turn-around time can be as long as two weeks. An extensive teleradiology network is planned as part of an MDIS implementation program to improve the quality of radiological service overcoming the distance and time barriers.",
