Breast tomosynthesis At the time of writing, Hologic has gained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval in the United States for a breast tomosynthesis platform, the Selenia Dimensions machine, which can perform both ordinary two-dimensional digital mammography and tomosynthesis.
