Abstract

The value and limitations of the cytologic diagnosis of lymphoma and leukemia using a multiparameter approath, including cytomorphology, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry, are discussed. Using these diagnostic modalities, most subtypes of lymphoma and leukemia can be classified accurately. The differential diagnoses of the different disease entities also are presented.
