Abstract
This summary of breast ultrasound reviews the current indications for its use, discusses the potential technical and human pitfalls in its performance, and briefly examines possible future applications that currently are works in progress. It also contains an indepth discussion of the use and interpretation of color Doppler and power Doppler imaging, techniques that do not seem to be understood or used fully in daily practice.
