Abstract

Recent advances in molecular science and technology have brought diagnoses and treatment of diseases one step closer to the ultimate goal of personalized healthcare. As the field of clinical molecular genetics rapidly evolves, so does the need for more comprehensive clinical training programs. Currently, there are undergraduate and graduate accredited training programs designed to offer a robust curriculum of didactic learning and hands-on application experience. In this chapter, we will provide general descriptions on both types of programs.
