Differential Diagnosis of Malignant Tumors of the Lacrimal Sac

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Mass in the lacrimal sac that classically extends superior to the medial canthal tendon can cause hemolacrima, epistaxis, and obstructive or functional epiphora. Can involve nasal cavity, sinuses, or orbit. Imaging evaluation of lacrimal sac tumors can define the location and extent of the lesion including distant metastases, and aid in narrowing the differential diagnosis based on the tumor’s imaging characteristics.
