Abstract

This article reviews emerging percutaneous ablative and radiosurgical techniques for the treatment of spinal metastases. The percutaneous ablative techniques discussed are laser interstitial thermal therapy, radiofrequency ablation, and cryoablation. Stereotactic radiosurgery also is reviewed as an adjuvant to surgical resection or separation surgery.
