Abstract

Gene therapy, in the future, may offer new strategies to treat various malignancies in lung cancer. Several phase I trials have demonstrated the safety of these approaches. The limitation of current gene transfer techniques include transient gene expression, loco-regional delivery, and the ability to target tumor tissue in a safe manner.
