Abstract
The reported case describes the onset of complex hallucinations in a previously healthy woman following a right temporoparietoocipital infarction identified by computed tomographic (CT) scan. The case is of interest because of the patient's capacity to report her mental experiences (which were in every way similar to schizophrenic experiences) in great detail, and because the neurological examination did not suggest the presence of the large cortical lesion that was detected by electroencephalogram (EEG) and CT scan.
