Identification and validation of aberrantly expressed proteins in breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC)

Abstract

A proteomic comparison of matched normal and cancer cells was presented, and the new facts of the transition of breast and esophageal cancer were revealed. Pure populations of normal and cancer cells were obtained using laser capture microdissection (LCM). Protein sample preparation, 2D-gel electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry of protein identification, and immunohistochemistry were performed. It was found that the 3D simulation of up and down-regulated protein spots. Results show the spot pairs of up-regulated fascin, equally expressed tubulin and down regulated annexin.
