Abstract

Imaging plays a vital clinical role in the workup and management of patients with pancreatic cancer or who are at a high risk of developing it. In recent years, it has become evident that imaging features of pancreatic cancer may be used to gain insight into the biology of the disease. Here, we review the concept behind imaging-based biomarkers of pancreatic cancer as related to early detection, treatment stratification, and therapy response.
