Abstract
Imaging informatics projects require project management leadership and expertise. Project committees focus on strategic and tactical planning. The core of successful project implementation is careful planning. Setting project goals, scope, milestones, and deliverables will keep the project on track and mitigate risk. There are many project management tools commercially available that facilitate success. Imaging informatics professionals are tightly coupled into imaging projects and are often asked to lead them.
