Abstract

As discussed in the following sections, in vivo dosimetry has been utilized for dierent purposes during the radiation therapy of cancer patients. Initially, this technique was used to verify dose to the organs adjacent to the implanted volume. However, verications of the accuracy of the treatment delivery for complex treatment techniques have been added to the list of applications of in vivo dosimetry. is chapter provides an overview of various in vivo dosimetry systems and discusses their advantages and limitations.
