Abstract

The continuous flow centrifuge extracorporeal circulating system presently used for the collection of large quantities of leukocytes from patients with leukemia has been modified to increase operating efficiency. A feedback loop was designed and incorporated into the system, which has increased the efficiency of collecting leukocytes from 31 to 47 per cent. This improvement has reduced the treatment time required for a given patient. 1974 AABB
