Abstract

Radiation therapy (RT) plays an important role in the curative management of all stages of breast cancer. The optimal application of adjuvant RT is an area of continuous investigation, and the indications for treatment are refined with each new trial. This article reviews the evidence for adjuvant RT across five distinct clinical scenarios, with additional discussion of RT targets, techniques, and doses where appropriate.
