Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Infections remain a frequent cause of morbidity and mortality during the hematopoietic transplant period, but over the years, there has been a significant improvement in stem cell transplant recipient outcomes because of advances in diagnosis and management of infections including antimicrobial and cellular therapy. In this chapter, we discuss most recent diagnosis and management of common infections in the stem cell transplant recipients according to the peritransplant period.
