Abstract

SURVIVORS OF non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) are at increased risk of developing second primary malignancies long after completing treatment. Cutaneous neuroendocrine (Merkel cell) carcinoma is an unusual and aggressive malignancy not previously described as a second primary minor in patients with NHL. We report the occurrence of a Merkel cell carcinoma in a patient with a history of NHL and briefly discuss factors that may contribute to the development of second primary tumors.
