Abstract

In this chapter, we summarize modulated arc therapy (MAT), focusing on the technical details of treatment planning. In particular, we highlight the different commercially treatment planning algorithms and the development of these technologies. We discuss clinical treatment planning techniques and strategies and the results of published planning studies. Finally, we address special considerations that may affect plan accuracy that are exacerbated when using MAT. In general, this chapter details the success of MAT.
