Abstract
Resection of brain tumors can improve the quality of life and prolong survival of patients with even aggressive tumors. The surgery is tolerated remarkably well by most patients, primarily because of the development of microsurgical techniques and the use of various adjuncts in the operating room. This article reviews clinical, radiographic, and surgical options.
