Abstract

This chapter summarizes the most important non-neoplastic diseases involving the vagina. Many of this will be encountered during the pathologic examination of vaginal specimens. Their correct identification by the pathologist is important from a treatment and prognosis perspective, but also in the differential diagnosis of pre-malignant and malignant vaginal lesions which can mimic benign processes.
