Abstract

To the Editor: We wish publicly to express our support for the following statement, which was signed by 165 North American endocrinologists, at the 1975 meeting of the Endocrine Society: We, members and guests of the Endocrine Society, view with dismay the arrest, trial and imprisonment of Dr. Mikhail Shtern, a Soviet Jewish physician at the Vinnitsa Endocrinological Health Center from 1962 until his arrest. The 57 year-old physician has had a long and distinguished career, especially in the treatment of children with glandular deficiencies. Dr. Shtern's arrest came soon after his family applied to emigrate to Israel. Although. . . No extract is available for articles shorter than 400 words.
