    Abstract

With increased cancer survival rates, there is a greater need for physiatrists (physicians trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation) to coordinate rehabilitation services and prepare a comprehensive plan for treatment and follow-up. Cancer and its treatment can cause multiple impairments - emotional, social, cognitive, and physical. Physical medicine and rehabilitation services play a very important role at every stage of the disease process. This review discusses the principle of cancer rehabilitation, as well as some specific problems, with an emphasis on the aspect of physical impairments.
