Abstract

Patients with resectable colorectal hepatic metastases are increasingly being treated with preoperative systemic chemotherapy. Recent studies have delineated regimen-specific toxicities and their impact on patient outcomes after hepatic resection. This review discusses selected important research findings on the risks of pre-operative chemotherapy for resectable colorectal liver metastases, focusing specifically on hepatotoxicity.
