Abstract
A case of mucoid impaction of the bronchi is presented together with pathological correlation. The typical radiographic presentation of the lesion is a branching pulmonary density representing the mass of rubbery, inspissated mucoid material filling the dilated segmental bronchi. The lesion may be oval or elliptical and is seen most commonly in the upper lobes. It may be an isolated finding but is frequently associated with asthma, chronic bronchitis, mucoviscidosis, or hypersensitivity aspergillosis.
