Short review of malignant adenomyoepithelioma of the breast

Abstract

Malignant adenomyoepithelioma is a rare mammary malignancy that arises from malignant transformation of adenomyoepithelioma. Due to the rarity of this entity, the diagnostic criteria are vague and knowledge about this entity mainly comes from case reports and small case series studies. In this review, we will summarize its clinicopathologic features, pathogenesis, prognosis, and treatment based on published literature.
