Abstract

Similarity laws of the distributions of the average velocity, tangential stress, and meansquare transverse velocity fluctuation are established in an intermediate zone of a turbulent boundary layer with injection and suction. This zone is located in the neighborhood of the wall outside the viscous sublayer. The similarity relationship for the velocity profile is a generalization of the well-known logarithmic law to include the case of the presence of a mass flow at the wall.
