Abstract

Several radiopharmaceuticals enable SPECT and PET monitoring of Pgp-mediated transport activity in tissues in vivo. There is significant promise for noninvasive assessment of Pgp to guide choices of chemotherapy regimens, monitor MDR gene therapy, and assess a potential risk factor for development of AD at the level of the BBB.
